Serena Scott-Thomas Joins Cast Of Lifetime’s ‘William & Kate’

As the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton inches ever closer, Lifetime is furiously putting together a made-for-TV movie about their romance – and Access Hollywood can exclusively reveal the newest member of the cast.

Access has learned that Serena Scott-Thomas, of the 1999 James Bond film “The World Is Not Enough” (and the sister of Kristin Scott-Thomas), will play Kate’s mother, Carole.

Serena, who previously starred in the ill-fated CW series “Summerland,” will join Camilla Luddington, who will play the soon-to-be princess, while Nico Evers-Swindell is playing Prince William.

Nico, who hails from New Zealand, recently played a Russian agent in “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and he has also had bit parts on “Guiding Light” and a guest spot on “Law & Order.”

Meanwhile, Camilla’s credits include episodes of “Days of Our Lives,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls.”

Additionally, Richard Reid will play a character named Ian, a fictional college friend of Prince William’s, Lifetime confirmed.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, after a courtship spanning more than a decade, William and Kate will finally wed at Westminster Abbey in front of many of the royals of Europe on April 29.
