Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg To Be Honored At CinemaCon 2014

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are being honored at this year’s CinemaCon.

The pair, who are producing the upcoming comedy “Neighbors,” due out on May 9, will receive the CinemaCon Comedy Filmmakers of the Year Award, it was announced on Wednesday.

“As writers, producers and directors, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have teamed up to bring audiences around the world some of the most outrageously, insanely funny comedies in recent years. Just take this past summer’s box-office smash ‘This Is the End.’ Do I need to say more,” Mitch Neuhauser, Managing Director of CinemaCon, said in statement. “When these two team up, hilarity and box-office success ensue. CinemaCon could not be more thrilled to honor these two talented filmmakers with its 2014 Comedy Filmmakers of the Year Award.”

Longtime pals Rogen and Goldberg, who wrote “Superbad” when they were just teenagers, are also behind “The Interview,” starring James Franco, a comedy due out on October 10.

CinemaCon is the official convention of The National Association of Theatre Owners. It takes place March 24 – 27, 2014, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
