Shark Week Returns To Discovery Channel in August

Discovery Channel’s “Shark Week” is on its way back.

The popular series about those fascinating creatures of the deep will return to Discovery Channel beginning Sunday, August 4 at 8 PM, the network announced on Friday.

Among the shows set to feature in the network’s programming include “Shark After Dark,” a new late night talk show that will air each evening during “Shark Week.”

“Sharkpocalypse” will look at the trend of sharks moving closer to shorelines, while “Megalodon: The Monster Shark Lives,” will take viewers on the search for a massive killer great white shark, responsible for fatalities off the coast of South Africa.

“I Escaped Jaws” will feature real shark attack footage captured by eye witnesses.

Other shows include, “Voodoo Sharks,” which examines a hot spot for Bull Shark populations and “Spawn of Jaws,” examining the life cycle of the Great White Shark.
