Get ready for more shark-on-land action!
A sequel to Syfy’s so-bad-it’s-good movie “Sharknado” is officially a go, the network has announced.
This time, New York City will serve as the backdrop for the flying shark movie.
Syfy also announced there will be a Twitter contest for fans to name the impending sequel (tentatively titled “Sharknado 2”).
Fans may Tweet their subtitle ideas to @SyfyMovies using the hashtag #Sharknado.
The first movie, starring Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, aired last week (earning modest ratings), but dominated Twitter generating nearly 5,000 Tweets per minute at its peak.
“Sharknado 2” is set to premiere in 2014.
