Just four days ago, Shia LaBeouf announced, “I am retiring from all public life,” but when Jim Carrey made him the butt of a joke during the Golden Globe Awards, Shia came out of retirement.
During Sunday’s awards show, Jim referred to the Shia’s recent alleged plagiarism incident, saying, “Dying is easy. Comedy is hard… I believe it was Shia LaBeouf who said that,” before presenting the award for Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical.
Jumping back into the public life, Shia Tweeted, “If you explain @JimCarrey you’ve killed him, Nobody knows if it’s for real or not. That way he’s immortal.”
According to the Huffington Post, Shia, 27, then posted a YouTube video of the actor’s daughter’s band, The Jane Carrey Band, and Tweeted, “At least I don’t get arrested for indecency on major LA highways! Or abandon love child’s [sic].”
Hours after his Tweet, Shia deleted the post and wrote, “Jim Carrey states that he is deeply involved in his daughter’s life – I accept that, regret Tweet on the matter. Apologies to both parents.”
Following his Twitter spat, Shia then announced, “I AM NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE.”
