Simon Cowell, Clive Davis Help British Singer

LONDON, England (April 25, 2007) — British reality singing contest winner Leona Lewis is getting the star treatment stateside.

After winning the British talent show ?The X Factor,? 22-year-old Lewis also managed to win favor from Arista music impresario Clive Davis and ?American Idol? judge Simon Cowell.

The two music bigwigs will supervise her debut album, due out on J/Syco records. Davis and Cowell will work together to pick both songs and producers for Lewis record.

?Leona is one of the most gifted singers I have ever come across and it is an honor to work alongside Clive? Simon Cowell said in a statement.

?Leona is so talented that when she showcased for our best songwriters in LA right before the Grammys, she received a tumultuous reception. Simon Cowell and I will have a great time working together on her album,? Davis added.
