BURBANK, Calif. (September 27, 2006) — Contrary to earlier reports that “America’s Got Talent” executive producer Simon Cowell’s mother (Julie Cowell, 80) was run over, Access Hollywood has confirmed that she was involved in an accident but is now doing fine.
According to an NBC publicist for “America’s Got Talent,” “Simon’s mother was ‘knocked’ by a car, but is doing well and is in high spirits.”
Reports Tuesday said that she had been “badly injured” are not true.
