When Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, a collective groan could be heard around the country — more cold weather… lots more cold weather. Six more weeks of it! Arggh.
It’s not like much of the country hasn’t already seen a couple of polar vortexes and other brutally cold storms with names we had never heard of before 2014. Polar Vortex? Extreme weather has become part of the daily vocab.
I don’t mean to whine about more cold weather in the forecast. Because, really, what’s to whine about here in SoCal? While most of the country has been under a deep freeze, we’ve enjoyed some beautiful weather. Until this week.
We actually had some rain, gasp! And it’s been cloudy and cool. Wah, wah, wah.
Still, I feel for those experiencing the real deal cold weather. Because that means…six more weeks of coats. Six more weeks of hats and scarves. Six more weeks of sweaters. Six more weeks of boots.
I don’t know about you, but I am tired of the whole winter wardrobe thing. I am ready for flip flops. I am ready for short sleeves.
I am ready for spring.
