Sleepy Hollow: Nicole Beharie & Katia Winter Preview ‘Trouble’ & ‘Weirdness’ In Season 1 Finale

“Sleepy Hollow” stars Nicole Beharie and Katia Winter said to expect a strong matchup between their forces of good and that evil demon Moloch in the Fox drama’s Season 1 finale this Monday night.

“He’s causing some serious trouble,” Nicole told Access Hollywood of the pasty horned demon that is trying to usher in the apocalypse in the little town of Sleepy Hollow. “But, I think we’re gonna give him a run for his money.

“That’s probably all I can say,” she added of the top secret two-part episode. “It gets pretty ugly.”

Katia, who plays Ichabod Crane’s purgatory-held wife, Katrina Crane, hinted that this Season 1 closer is a big one.

“I’m very excited,” Katia said as Access spoke to her alongside Nicole at the Television Critics Association Winter Tour 2014. “I’m excited to see how it’s gonna turn out because there’s a lot happening in the last episode. It’s a lot of action. There’s a lot of weirdness going on.”

While some fans have been hoping all season that there would be romance between Ichabod and Abbie, Nicole hinted that her former co-worker-with-a-crush, Andy, played by John Cho, could be back and still working to keep her safe.

“She had no idea [Andy had a crush] and now that he’s dead, he’s like professing his love and he’s turned into this like decaying thing that is actually looking out for her in the same sort of creepy way that Katrina is looking out for Ichabod really,” Nicole said. “It’s like we both have like dead people who love us who are also in like dark worlds. So hopefully I get a little more John action and she gets a little more Ichabod time.”

Fox’s freshman drama has had a big first season. The show’s ratings have been (after DVR was counted in) as high as 20 million people.

“I’m floored,” Nicole said of the viewing numbers for her show’s debut run. “It’s really amazing ‘cause we’re like tucked away in these little studios and running around the woods and make believing together and there are people connecting with it and I think it’s amazing. There’s so much work that’s happening and it’s lovely to just be validated that, like you guys want us to come to your homes.”

“Sleepy Hollow’s” two-hour Season 1 finale kicks off on Monday night at 8/7c on Fox.
