Sofia Vergara’s Mother Stopped Her From Having A Breast Reduction

The Sofia Vergara of today almost didn’t have her signature shape!

The “Modern Family” star stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday and revealed that she once considered having a breast reduction as a teen.

“At the beginning, I thought it was a little bit…It was too much,” Sofia told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover when asked about her “assets” on Tuesday’s show.

The actress explained that she began developing when she turned 13 and it changed what she was able to do.

“When you realize at some age that you can’t, like, run and do normal things, you have to be worrying [about] what you wear,” she recalled. “So, you stop being like a little girl. You become conscious of things you’re not ready to be conscious of, I think.”

She even considered removing what she had been blessed with.

“I used to tell my mother, ‘I’m going to chop them off as soon as I’m 18, I mean, that’s it!’ and she’s like, ‘No, God is going to punish you if you do something like that,’” she told Billy and Kit. “And so I never did it. And thank God I never it!”

Adding with a laugh, “Mothers know best!”
