Spider-Man 2: Catching Fire’s Sam Claflin To Play Harry Osborn?

A slew of young Hollywood stars are in the mix to play Peter Parker’s best friend-turned-foe Harry Osborn in the upcoming “Amazing Spider-Man” sequel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sam Claflin – who will play tribute Finnick Odair in the upcoming “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” and also starred in “Snow White and the Huntsman,” is testing for the role last played by James Franco.

Eddie Redmayne, who will next appear in “Les Miserables” in December and was seen in 2011’s “My Week With Marilyn,” is also reportedly being considered for the role.

Douglas Booth, who starred in “LOL” with Miley Cyrus, is another name in the mix along with and Boyd Holbrook, who will appear in the upcoming big adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s “The Host.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, “The Descendants” star Shailene Woodley is in talks to join the superhero sequel as Peter Parker’s (played by Andrew Garfield) ladylove, Mary Jane Watson.

Additionally, Jamie Foxx told Access Hollywood last week that his casting as villain Electro is “in the works.”
