Spider-Man: Jamie Foxx Surprised Daughter With Casting News With A Set Visit

Jamie Foxx’s 4-year-old daughter might be more excited about her dad landing the role of Max Dillon/Electro in the in the upcoming “The Amazing Spider-Man” sequel than the actor himself.

Access Hollywood caught up with Jamie at the premiere for “Django Unchained,” where he revealed how he broke the news to his super hero-loving daughter.

”[She] dressed as Spider-Man for Halloween and had a Spider-Man jumper. Yesterday, I took her to the set, she didn’t know [that I had been cast], and she says, ‘What is this?’ I said, ‘Daddy’s going to be in ‘Spiderman.’’”

The actor’s daughter was quick to ask plot details.

“She says, ‘Is Spider-Man going to beat you up?’ and I said, ‘I don’t know.” She says, ‘Good,’” he continued.

So far, the 44-year-old actor appears to be loving his new role.

“It’s an amazing ride. So, it’s humbling and just a lot of fun,” he told Access.
