Stallone Donates ‘Rocky’ Costume To Smithsonian

They made sure the blood was washed off
Rocky’s boxing gloves before Sylvester Stallone donated them to the Smithsonian.

Stallone tells AP Radio News that he got blood on the gloves when he was hit in the film, though they didn’t get as bloody as the gloves in his new Rocky movie.

Stallone also donated some trunks, a robe and Rocky’s signature hat, which he says he bought for three bucks.

Stallone is 60 now and still happy to let out a “Yo! Adrian!” when he was asked during the ceremony.

His donation helps promote “Rocky Balboa,” which opens December 20th, and the collectors edition DVD of the original Rocky, which is in stores now.
