Samuel L. Jackson’s “Star Wars” Mace Windu character appeared to have died in a blaze of Jedi glory during “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith,” but the actor thinks there’s still a possibility his character could return.
Access Hollywood caught up with the actor at the junket for his upcoming animated movie, “Turbo,” where he weighed in on if Mace really died after battling Darth Sidious and Anakin Skywalker.
“I thoroughly think that Jedi can fall high distances and not die,” he said of his character, who fans last saw being hurled out of a window at the electrifying hands of Sidious.

“There is a history of Jedis getting their hands cut off and showing back up,” he continued, referring to Luke and Anakin Skywalker and his own character.
Samuel’s “Turbo” co-star, Ryan Reynolds, chimed in on the possibility of his return.
”‘Star Wars’ is not unlike ‘Dallas’ or ‘Days of Our Lives,’” he joked. “Just because you die, doesn’t mean you’re gone.”
“Not died. Fell out a window,” Samuel stressed. “Nobody saw me die… [I] fell out a window with my purple light saber.”
Adding, “Hey it’s in a galaxy far, far away. I should be able to live forever!”
Jedi resurrections aside, the actor thinks some of the previous famous faces from the “Star Wars” universe should appeared in the J.J. Abrams-directed “Episode VII.”
“You got to put some cool ‘Star War’s people in there,” he told Access. “Bring the others back into it. [You] can’t just create a whole new audience out of nowhere.”
“Star Wars: Episode VII” is slated for release in 2015. “Turbo” races into theaters on July 17.
