‘Star Wars’ Stars Review ‘The Force Awakens’: ‘Have 911 On Speed Dial’

Critics
have yet to see “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” so fans are currently
left with the lucky few who have seen the movie – the cast itself!

Access Hollywood sat down with
the stars from the highly anticipated film over the weekend and they revealed
what they thought after seeing the seventh film – here is what they had to say:

Harrison Ford (Han Solo):
“Pretty darn good, maybe a little long (the actor joked)… you will be
impressed. You will be impressed with the new young members of the cast and
you’ll be gratified with the familiar elements, which have been carefully
thought through. You’ll love the scale of the thing, the power, the energy of it. I think it’s a really good
movie.”

Daisy Ridley (Rey):
“It was an overwhelming sense of emotions… It’s just incredible though,
there have been thousands of people that worked
with the film… seeing all that work and all that thousands of people and the
time and energy that people put into this incredible thing, to see that kind of
play out was just amazing.”

Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata):
“I thought it was beautiful. I thought it was moving… it was overwhelming…
I never dreamed I’d be a part of this movie, a part of this world. And then to
experience that and experience all the work that has gone into it… it was
overwhelming and it was beautiful and it was a seamless continuation of the
saga.”

WATCH: John Boyega Describes ‘Force Awakens’ As ‘Powerful, Emotional’

John Boyega (Finn): “Your head is going to go
back and forth because you’re just going to be shaking all over the place
because it’s so amazing… you might pass out… have 911 on speed dial. It’s an
amazing movie. It works so well. It pays homage to the old and continues a new
story and it’s so powerful. It’s emotional and it is ‘Star Wars,’ it’s like so
‘Star Wars!'”

Adam Driver (Kylo Ren): “It is good. It’s a lot
to process because I can’t believe I’m still in it. It’s visually thrilling. I
mean, that’s such a hokey thing to say, but it’s so true [and] I was surprised
by how emotional it is.”

Director J.J. Abrams: “I could not be more honored
to be associated with the world that I have loved since I was 11 years old… The
cast and the crew were so fantastic and did such beyond-expectation
work everywhere you look. Every time I freaked out or was overwhelmed by
expectations or all that noise, I just think about what people will actually
get to see and you get to not just see the great visual effects and special
effects and the new music by John Williams… and to have performances by people
like Daisy Ridley who is like this fearless revelation. She’s incredible.
Harrison Ford back in this role in a way that I can’t tell you how great he is
in this. And also obviously, Adam Driver, John [Boyega] and Lupita Nyong’o –
this amazing group of younger actors, along with the Carrie Fisher and the original
cast… I feel very lucky that I got to be there.”

And if you feel like the cast and the crew of “The
Force Awakens” might be a little biased when it comes to their movie,
“Star Wars” creator and original director George Lucas “really
liked” the new movie (which he was not involved with), Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy recently
revealed to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opens on December 18.
