Stars Burn It Off At Baby Bootcamp

Katie Holmes, Tiffany Amber-Theissen and Rosanna Arquette have all survived Barry’s Bootcamp, a hardcore workout that takes no prisoners.

Nadia Benavides, a personal trainer at Barry’s, gave Access a taste of the special “Post-Pregnancy” bootcamp, and showed us three simple exercises that will shed those pregnancy pounds.

“Don’t stop! Stopping would be easy,” Nadia called out to the bootcampers. “Grab ‘em, duck down, push.”

She’s one tough trainer. Her advice?

“You want to just kind of hustle back into it as soon as you can, even if you are taking baby steps,” Nadia told us. (Recently pregnant women) want to work the hips. They want to work the booty. They want to lift, and they want to shrink the hips. It’s going to make them small, and it’s going to lift the butt up.”

Basic crunches come next.

“When you get to a certain trimester, you can’t work your abs anymore, so, you have so many months that you are not working anything for your core, really,” Nadia explained.

“You’re wearing the strappy dresses, the tank tops, the swimsuits, you want to have nice arms,” she said. “You want to have definition. That’s where doing a couple of sets of bicep curls are really going to help.”

Access learned that we should hit the gym a minimum of three times a week, but that’s only 40 percent of the work.

The other 60 percent? Diet.

“I would say that plays about a 60 percent (role),” Nadia said.

The other secret? If you are looking to get back to pre-pregnancy form, starting a workout regimen as soon as possible is the way to beat the extra pounds.

They’re waiting for you, Katie!
