Stars Ready To Go ‘Heads-Up’ Against Poker Pros

Don Cheadle, Shannon Elizabeth and Jason Alexander are just a few of the celebrities who will go toe-to-toe with some of the world’s best poker players in the “Heads-Up Poker Championship,” in Las Vegas from February 28 – March 2.

The tournament, featuring a total of 64 card sharks, will air on NBC over seven consecutive Sundays in April and May, beginning on April 13.

No stranger to the poker table, Shannon Elizabeth was the talk of the tourney last year, when she knocked off opponent after opponent, advancing all the way to the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Cheadle also caused quite a stir in last year’s event, eliminating poker legend Phil Ivey in a huge upset.

Celebrity and poker has become a popular combination over the last several years, with stars often being seen testing their abilities at the poker table.

Stars like Ben Affleck, Tobey Maguire, Matt Damon, Ray Romano, Brad Garrett and Jennifer Tilly have all been seen mixing it up with the pros in various poker tournaments over the last several years.

Tilly, who has become quite a card room regular, will also compete in the “Heads-Up” tournament, where contestants will be competing for a total prize pool over $1.5 million.

The fourth annual “Heads-Up Poker Championship” will be held inside Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
