‘Stars’ Weigh In On ‘The Situation’s’ Post-‘Dancing’-Elimination Disappearance

After being eliminated on Tuesday night’s “Dancing with the Stars” results show, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino slipped away without speaking to press or saying goodbye to his co-stars.

While his publicist said he was being treated in his trailer for intense neck pain, his partner Karina had a different story, as she faced the press line solo.

“Well, Mike’s either throat or wisdom tooth, he wouldn’t know what it was, it was killing him the whole day,” Karina told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson in an interview after Tuesday night’s show. “So he’s been taking pills and they finally got a doctor to see him in the trailer, but I think he’s planning to come out.”

Some of Sitch’s “Dancing” co-stars offered their support and understanding, while others were less than pleased.

“We all hugged him,” Cheryl Burke told Shaun. “I think he was really upset – I saw a little teary-eyed situation going on.

“You go through this emotional roller coaster, and then it’s like, then it’s over all of a sudden. It’s a huge shock,” Cheryl continued.

“You don’t do this show and not care,” added Rick Fox, Cheryl’s celebrity partner. “You don’t do this show and not make the connections we’re all making with each other. We saw a side of ‘The Situation’ that maybe a lot of people haven’t seen… he’s gonna be missed.”

Brandy also offered sympathy for the fist-pumper, saying, “[Sitch] probably was sad. It meant a lot to him. If I was going home tonight, you probably wouldn’t see me tonight!”

“Yeah, you would,” Brandy’s hard-nosed partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, interjected. “I think what defines a winner is the ability to lose with grace.”

One thing’s for certain – “The Situation” bonded with his fellow dancers.

“I love ‘The Situation,’” Kurt Warner told Shaun. “We really developed a friendship and he’s just so real. And I think you see that. He’s trying.

“What you see on his show isn’t necessarily what you get in person. But what you see in person is what you get, and I love those kind of people and I think that’s why everybody fell in love with him,” the NFL star added.

Whether it was neck pain, a sore throat, painful wisdom teeth or teary-eyes that kept the GTLer from saying ‘Goodbye,’ “The Situation” seemed to clear up pretty quickly.

Mike hit the club in true “Jersey Shore” fashion later in the evening – he was spotted leaving Hollywood’s Boudoir lounge with a mystery brunette.
