Stephen Amell, Will Ferrell Come Out To Support LA Kings

It’s an age old tradition for sports fans to have a lucky item of clothing in support of their favorite team. And, Kings fan (and “Arrow” star) Stephen Amell, adheres to tradition.

“In 2012 I had my Kings shirt. It’s an old school shirt. It’s my Twitter avatar right now,” Stephen told Access Hollywood before Wednesday night’s Stanley Cup opener at Staples Center. “There’s a photo of me before game six in 2012 wearing the shirt. I didn’t wash it. It got kind of an orange ring to it around the center and I still have it.”

This season, Stephen has a new item to support the Kings.

“This year, it’s this hat. I’ve been wearing this hat all the time and I’ve been going for long runs in it. I’ve gone for long runs in two different countries and three different states so far and it’s working well,” the actor said.

Will Ferrell was another celeb Kings fan who supported the LA team as they beat the Rangers, and he joked he might take his fandom to a new level.

“I might sneak onto the ice as part of the Kings ice crew,” Will joked. “You never know. With a bandeau tube top.”

Humor aside, Will is a bit sports fan and he said having the Kings in the Stanley Cup has made it an exciting time in LA.

“We’re now becoming a hockey town, which is great, you know? Two Stanley Cup finals… out of the last three years is amazing,” Will said.

Game 2 kicks off on Saturday at 7 PM ET on NBC.
