‘Suicide Squad’: Jared Leto Eyed For The Joker, Margot Robbie To Play Harley Quinn?

“Suicide Squad” – Warner Bros. and DC’s supervillain team up movie – is reportedly eyeing a slew of A-listers to play Batman and Superman’s biggest threats.

According to The Wrap, Oscar winner and 30 Second to Mars front man Jared Leto is being considered for the role of The Joker in the upcoming movie.

If the Joker appears in the David Ayer-directed film, it will mark the first time anyone has played the character on the big screen since the late Heath Ledger played the villain in 2008’s “The Dark Knight,” a role he posthumously received an Academy Award for.

Margot Robbie, who has long been rumored to star in the super villain film, will reportedly play Harley Quinn, the Joker’s girlfriend/henchwoman, Collider reported.

Other stars reportedly being eyed for the film include Tom Hardy, Will Smith, Cara Delevingne, and Jesse Eisenberg, who is playing Lex Luthor in the upcoming “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

“Suicide Squad” is slated to hit theaters in 2016.
