A brand new behind-the-scenes video package for Monday's "Supergirl" episode that features The Flash has been released, and it is packed with sneak peek footage!
There are glimpses of an upcoming fight with Silver Banshee (Italia Ricci), and of the race between The Flash and Supergirl.
Series star Melissa Benoist, who plays Supergirl/Kara, shared her enthusiasm for the crossover in new interview footage.
"I had heard rumblings, but when it was finally announced – it's just so cool," she said.
"The Flash" star Grant Gustin was equally thrilled about the team-up.
"I was really excited to see the two emblems next to each other," he said. "I love Melissa, I was excited to work with Melissa and it just makes the universe that much bigger."
Jeremy Jordan, who plays Winn, noted in his interview that Kara and Barry Allen/The Flash quickly become BFFs, and Mehcad Brooks (James Olsen) revealed that their connection makes his character a little jealous.
The new episode will see the two DC Entertainment superheroes work together.
"What's kind of great about this episode is that they help each other," Melissa said.
And Barry Allen can use the knowledge he's gleaned during his time as a superhero to help.
"He's been spending the last year and a half exploring his powers and now he's here to share his wisdom with Kara," Grant said.
The episode of "Supergirl" featuring The Flash airs on Monday at 8/7c on CBS.
