Surprise Elimination On First Week Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’

“Dancing with the Stars” will have one less passenger as it takes ‘Hoff on its Season 11 journey.

Just one day after making his ballroom debut, former “Baywatch” hunk David Hasselhoff was told he didn’t have the “Talent” to continue on in the competition, taking professional partner – Aussie cutie Kym Johnson — with him.

“It’s been a great ride and I feel bad for Kym because she worked so hard to try and get me where I was going,” David said after learning the news. “And I’m just so proud my daughters are here and they got to see me go this far.”

The former “America’s Got Talent” judge was the last celebrity to hit the ballroom on Monday night’s first performance show and his cha cha with Kym didn’t manage to wow the “DWTS” panel, especially judge Bruno Tonioli who called it “a potpourri of insanity.”

Moments before his elimination, David reflected on Monday’ nights remarks and admitted that being judged felt like karma coming around.

“It’s almost like ‘America’s Got Talent’ payback, because now I’m going through what all of those kids went through,” he said.

The Hoff’s daughters – Hayley and Taylor Ann – who convinced him to do the show, were front row and they revealed their dad had a physical condition that may have hindered his performance.

“He has bad knees, so I’m really proud of you that you kept up last night, dad. Yeah!” Taylor Ann said.

“You did a great job from our point of view,” Hayley chimed in. “And if they don’t see it, they don’t see it. Look at his competition though. Everyone is so great.”

Prior to the elimination, the field was narrowed down to just two couples – Hoff and Kym, and Disney star Kyle Massey and pro Lacey Schwimmer, but Tom Bergeron said it was not a bottom 2.

Among the stars sailing through to next week included Jennifer Grey, Kurt Warner, Brandy and Bristol Palin, who revealed that her mother, former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, enjoyed her cha cha with partner Mark Ballas.

“I think she was proud of me. [She] thinks I did well,” Bristol said.

As a result of the young mom moving forward in the competition, Sarah will get a chance to see her baby in the ballroom. Bristol revealed to Access Hollywood on Monday night that her mom would be heading to town for Week 2.

“She couldn’t make it, scheduling and timing didn’t work out,” she explained of Sarah’s Monday absence. “But, she’ll be here next week.”
