‘Survivor’ Winner Richard Hatch Due In RI Court On Allegations That He Violated Probation

Reality TV star Richard Hatch is returning to federal court in Providence, R.I., to face allegations that he violated terms of his probation.

Hatch was convicted in 2006 of failing to pay taxes on the $1 million prize he won on the first season of CBS’ “Survivor.” He spent more than three years in prison.

In 2009, he began a three-year period of supervised release under the condition that he refile and pay his taxes on the “Survivor” winnings and other income.

The federal probation office filed a complaint saying Hatch failed to refile his 2000 and 2001 tax returns.

Hatch is scheduled to appear in court Monday. He could get two more years behind bars if a judge determines that he violated his probation.
