‘Sweet Dreams’ For Hoda & Kathie Lee! Beyonce Makes Surprise Appearance On ‘Today’

Tina Knowles shocked “Today” hosts Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotb during a fashion show for her new Miss Tina clothing line on Wednesday morning when one of the models displaying her designs was none other than her superstar daughter, Beyonce.

“Aaaaah! What? No!” an overwhelmed Hoda screamed when she saw the “Sweet Dreams” singer appear, before jumping up and tossing her note cards in the air. “No you didn’t! That is genius!”

‘This is such a great surprise!” Kathie Lee added.

The designer mom said the surprise appearance was Beyonce’s idea.

“It was so sweet because I didn’t want to ask [Beyonce],” Tina said. “And she just said, ‘Mama, I’ll do anything for you.’”

“She always is my biggest supporter,” Beyonce smiled. “So, I was very excited to do this for her… I love my mom.”

Tina, who served as a costume designer for Destiny’s Child (as well as co-designing her and Beyonce’s ready-to-wear line, House of Dereon), has long been a driving force behind her chart-topping daughter’s success.

“What is the single most important thing [your mom] ever said to you when you were growing up that you’ll take with you for the rest of your life?” Kathie Lee asked the “Halo” singer.

“Definitely that beauty fades, and you have to be beautiful from within,” Beyonce answered.

Tina’s new collection, Miss Tina, will be sold exclusively at Walmart, and is comprised mainly of items priced at $20 or less, including jeans for just $18.

“[My mom is] so talented, and I’m just so happy that everyone can see – she has her own line, and she is definitely always thinking about everyone,” Beyonce said of the line’s accessible price point. “She believes that everyone deserves to look fabulous.”
