Taylor Lautner may have a six pack (at least), a chiseled jaw line and an athletic physique, but he’s an old softie when it came to filming his last scene in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.”
“It didn’t help that my very last scene was an emotional scene to begin with. It was this last dance between Jacob and Bella,” Taylor recounted to Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson on Thursday in Los Angeles. “He’s sort of saying goodbye to her, and she’s saying goodbye to him. She’s going on her honeymoon, and he’s [realizing], ‘All right, it’s over. You’ve got to get over her. She’s married. She’s going to have fun with Edward. It’s done.’
“It was an emotional scene,” he continued. “Just being the last scene that we filmed, it was tough.”
Taylor said fans would see a real journey for his character, werewolf Jacob Black, in the upcoming film.
“Jacob goes through a ton in this movie. He’s finally able to grow up and make decisions,” Taylor told Shaun. “He’s never really had to do that before, so he didn’t. Then this one, he has to make a decision. He has to move on. He has to grow up and become a man. He’s being torn between his family and the Cullens, and what’s the right thing to do? He’s sort of a middleman, bouncing back and forth. It was really challenging for me.”
“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” hits theaters on November 18.
