Taylor Lautner Promises More Muscle In Upcoming ‘Twilight’ Movies

Taylor Lautner bulked up in a big way in order to keep his role in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” and the actor promises to keep on getting bigger for “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn.”

“My character continues to grow,” said the 17-year-old actor, who gained 30 pounds of muscle for his role as werewolf Jacob Black, told Men’s Health in its December issue. “So, I’d like to pack on at least a few more lean pounds.”

The actor revealed that he had to cut down on his cardio regime in order to keep his werewolf muscles pumped.

“I was exercising so hard that I began to lose weight,” he explained.

The actor’s trainer, Jordan Yuam, told the mag that even the most out of shape Twi-Hard could get a Jacob Black hard body.

“Inexperience works to your advantage,” Jordan told the mag. “The less muscle you have the easier it is to gain muscle mass more quickly.”

And as previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Taylor said he’ll continue to go shirtless in movie – if it’s integral to role.

“If there’s another character later on in life that requires [taking my shirt off], I’m not opposed to it,” Taylor told Taylor told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson at the “New Moon” junket in Los Angeles last week.
