Talk about a girls’ day out!
Taylor Swift took a trip to Catalina Island on Friday with some of her best girlfriends including Lorde, Jaime King, Olympic figure skater Gracie Gold, and the ladies of the band Haim. She even Instagrammed a photo with the caption, “Wandering around Catalina with my favorite people to wander around with.”

On the Golden Globes red carpet, Lorde revealed to Access Hollywood correspondent Louise Roe what peoples’ reactions were to this superstar gang!
“I feel like it was surprisingly chill. I actually had to laugh because I got recognized before Taylor did,” Lorde said. “I was like this never happens. But I had my hair flowing.”
Lorde said the group “just had something to eat,” but that “I really wanted to swim and they were like, ‘We don’t swim in the Pacific — it’s really cold.’ I was so ready. I had my suit and everything.”
Another of Taylor’s gal pals, Girls’ star Lena Dunham did not make the trip and joked to Louise, “I got a text about Catalina and I was like, ‘I’m not allowed to go anywhere on a Friday.’ They get to make their own hours; that’s how chic they are.”
As for whether Taylor might be on “Girls” one day, Lena said, “I hope. I would love to collaborate on anything with her. The show would be wonderful but also anytime she calls I’ll come running.”
