Taylor Swift Not Afraid Of Revealing Painful Breakup In Her Music

Joe Jonas might have remained mum on his 2008 split from Taylor Swift – but the country cutie says she is not afraid to expose her painful past – in fact, she enjoys it.

“Writing songs about people is the only way I know how to do things,” the 19-year-old singer told Seventeen magazine in it’s May issue. Taylor’s “Forever and Always,” is said to be about her relationship with the middle Jonas Brother – a song she has no regret about writing.

“I can’t wish I hadn’t written a song about someone,” she continued. “Because if I hadn’t, that song wouldn’t exist. I just don’t find any joy in writing about things I haven’t been through.”

And it appears the singer won’t be shying away from future raw emotions in her upcoming music. “Right now, my favorite thing to write about is love. And breakups. And boys. And feelings,” she said.

If Taylor’s music can’t get her through tough times, she said her close-knit circle of friends can.

“In Nashville, it’s Abigail [who’s mentioned in Taylor song ‘Fifteen’], and Kellie Pickler,” Taylor explained.

Adding, “In LA, Selena Gomez is one of my best friends. I’m also really close with Miley [Cyrus], Demi Lovato and Emma Stone.”
