‘Teen Mom’ Star Amber Portwood Pregnant With Second Child?; Plus, Domestic Violence Charges Around The Corner?

Amber Portwood, star of MTV’s reality hit, “Teen Moms,” may be pregnant again, according to a new report.

According to Life & Style, Portwood and Gary Shirley (father of Portwood’s 2-year-old daughter, Leah, and on-again, off-again fiance) reportedly learned that Portwood is pregnant yet again while the two were vacationing together in Tennessee.

The mag claims that Jordan Sanchez, Shirley’s best friend, has confirmed news of the pregnancy, but is unsure who fathered the child.

“Yes, I’ve heard that Amber is pregnant,” Sanchez reportedly told the mag. “But [Gary] is not even sure [he] is the father.

“Amber has been with at least one other guy while she’s still with Gary. She likes to explore,” he added.

Sanchez claims to have doubts as to the validity of Portwood’s second pregnancy, adding, “Pretending to be pregnant could just be another example of [Amber] trying to manipulate [Gary] and keep people interested in the show.”

MTV had no comment for Access Hollywood when asked if the reality star was pregnant with her second child.

In related Portwood news, NBC News’ “Today” show reported on Wednesday that authorities have launched a full investigation into Portwood, after she was seen kicking and punching Shirley on the MTV show while their daughter was in the room.

Police in the couple’s hometown of Anderson, Indiana, have reportedly launched a criminal investigation into Portwood’s behavior, while Child Protective Services is evaluating whether or not she is an unfit mother.

Portwood tearfully spoke about the violence with Dr. Drew Pinsky on a “Teen Mom” reunion show on MTV on Tuesday night saying she “doesn’t even f—king remember” hitting Shirley multiple times.

“I feel like I hit him one time,” she told Dr. Drew, while crying. “And then I watched [the fight] and I’m like hitting him multiple times.”

After seeing the couple’s latest violent argument when it aired on MTV, authorities reportedly paid a visit to Portwood’s home, and reportedly found evidence that “warrants their attention,” according to “Today.”

Dan Abrams, NBC’s chief legal analyst, told “Today’s” Matt Lauer that the MTV crew who filmed the altercations could also potentially face charges for failing to stop the violence while it happened.

“If the D.A. decides to get aggressive, they could prosecute people who had reason to believe that child abuse was occurring, they could prosecute them for a misdemeanor for not reporting it,” he told Matt on Wednesday.

No charges have been filed yet against Portwood, but the reality star could face serious repercussions for her actions if charged — in Indiana, domestic violence in front of a child under the age of 14 can be a felony.
