Teri Hatcher To Revisit Her Lois Lane Roots For ‘Smallville’

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s… a “Desperate Housewife”?

Teri Hatcher may be busy fretting away as Susan Mayer on Wisteria Lane, but she is also gearing up to lend her Lois Lane expertise to The CW’s superhero series, “Smallville,” Access Hollywood has confirmed.

The 45-year-old star, who played Clark Kent’s love interest for four years on ABC’s “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” (opposite Dean Cain), is slated to appear on the hit show as the mother of Lois Lane (played by actress Erica Durance), a rep for The CW confirmed to Access on Wednesday.

Teri’s role will reportedly come into play when Lois finds old videotapes of her now-deceased mom in an episode aptly titled “Abandoned,” according to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello, who was first to report the casting news.

“Smallville” begins its 10th and final season on Friday, September 24, at 8 PM on the CW.
