Teri Injured On ‘Desperate’ Set

People magazine reported that Teri Hatcher was hurt when a light bulb exploded on the set of “Desperate Housewives.”

“Glass lodged in my right eye and proceeded to scratch my cornea,” Teri told People magazine. “I was taken to a wonderful eye doctor, and now am wearing a most glamorous eye patch over the right half of my face. I like to look at the positive and the good news is, the cornea is the fastest healing tissue in the body.”

Teri told People she would be back to work in two days.

“I’m in some pain, but trying to see the humor in the oddity of it all,” Teri told People. “No one was at fault.”

Teri, the spokesperson for the AmberWatch Foundation, will be unable to attend the organization’s launch party in Los Angeles, according to People.

AmberWatch is dedicated to the prevention of child abduction and molestation, People reported.

Teri is not the only “Desperate” gal to be injured while on set.

Eva Longoria was injured on the set last year.

While filming a scene at Pasadena City College (just northeast of Los Angeles), a pole fell on the “Desperate” diva and paramedics were called to the scene.
