The Ballot’s In The Mail: Oscar Voters Await!

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (January 31, 2007) — The Oscar ballots were mailed today to the more than 58-hundred people eligible to vote.

The ballots list nominees in 19 categories, and must be returned by February 20th.

But ballots for certain categories won’t be sent until members verify attendance at mandatory screenings. Those categories include best documentary feature, documentary short subject, foreign language film, animated short film, and live action short film.

The 79th Academy Awards will be handed out February 25th at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, and will air live on ABC.
