The Beckham Report: David Hangs With The Boys, Posh Rules LA

Fans who sported signs earlier this week over David Beckham’s lack of game time (due to an aching ankle) may soon have a new tune to sing. According to a blog on the soccer star’s website, Becks’ is doing his best to get into pitch-perfect condition.

“I’ve been working really hard this week in the gym to try and get fit as quickly as possible and get playing again” Becks blogged. “As anyone who knows me is well aware, I love playing soccer and can’t wait to get out on the pitch and play a part in the upcoming games.”

Beckham wrote that he is enjoying being part of the brotherhood of his new team, the LA Galaxy, and has been traveling to some of the games, just to be around the boys.

“On Saturday I rode in the team coach to the game against Chivas, which was great even though I didn’t play and, obviously, it was brilliant to be in the locker room with the guys before the game and be part of the pre-match camaraderie,” he wrote. “I like to be involved as much as possible and the coaches and my team mates have really made an effort to make me feel part of things, which is a great feeling.”

Becks said he’s even gone to team social events where his kids – Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz have been making new, American mates.

“The Galaxy organised a team BBQ on Sunday at the Home Depot Center, which all the players and their families are invited to. It’s a real team bonding experience and a great chance for the player’s families to get to know one another,” he posted. “Everyone had a fantastic time and it was really nice to see all our children making friends.”

In related news, one friend Becks’ wife, Victoria may not have made is Britney Spears. According to the NY Daily News, the American pop singer allegedly stormed out of the celeb-friendly Chateau Marmont earlier this week when she was told the only table available was next to Posh.
