The Crow: True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard To Star Instead Of Tom Hiddleston?

Casting rumors for “The Crow” reboot continues.

After reports “Thor” and “The Avengers” villain Tom Hiddleston was close to nabbing the role of Eric Draven in Relativity Media’s upcoming remake, according to Deadline, there’s a different actor in the mix – Alexander Skarsgard.

The “True Blood” hunk is being considered to play Eric/The Crow after his scheduled cleared up due to the halting of his next project (he was slated to star in David Yates’ “Tarzan,” with Jessica Chastain as Jane), according to the website.

F. Javier Gutierrez will direct the remake of the 1994 hit (based on James O’Barr’s comic book series).

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, according to The Wrap, Hiddleston recently dined with the film’s producers and was set to undergo a makeup test for the reboot.

Producers on the new film were drawn to the actor’s ability to “project both a light and dark side,” The Wrap reported.
Production on “The Crow” is scheduled to begin in the fall.
