The CW Picks Up ‘Flash’/’Arrow’ Spinoff: ‘DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow’

The CW is expanding its superhero universe.

“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” has been picked up by The CW, Access Hollywood has learned.

The team-up show stars Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom), Caity Lotz (her role is unknown as her character was killed off on “Arrow”), Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heat Wave) and Victor Garber (Professor Stein/half of Firestorm).

Also on board are Ciarra Renee (Hawkgirl), Franz Drameh (Jay Jackson) and Arthur Darvill.

Arthur (“Dr. Who”) plays time traveler Rip Hunter, who is trying to assemble a group of both heroes and villains to face off against a threat against the planet and humanity.

“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” comes from the team behind “Arrow” – executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter (an EP on “The Flash” with Kreisberg and Berlanti).
