The Heat Stars & Director Open To Sequel

“The Heat 2”? It’s a possibility!

Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy’s upcoming buddy cop movie, “The Heat” doesn’t hit theaters until this weekend, but the stars and director Paul Feig say they are open for it to get even hotter!

“I would do anything with that group of people again — in a heartbeat,” Melissa told Access Hollywood at the movie’s New York premiere.

Paul, who previously worked with Melissa in “Bridesmaids,” is gearing up for the possibility of more with his two leading ladies.

“It screams [a sequel] to me,” he said. “I would love to get these two ladies together again. I want to see them out fighting crime and making people laugh in other situations, so fingers crossed.”

Melissa and Paul are onboard, but Sandra is taking a more artistic approach to more “Heat.”

“I think Melissa and I have decided we’re gonna do a live sequel. We’re gonna perform sort of neighborhood to neighborhood, sort of live interpretations, sort of do a modern interpretation… it’s got different flavors, but live,” she joked.

“The Heat” opens on June 28.
