‘The Office’s’ Rainn Wilson Would Love To Cameo On ‘Game Of Thrones,’ But In Which Family?

He may play a paper pusher on NBC’s “The Office,” but Rainn Wilson wouldn’t mind grabbing a sword instead of a pencil, and heading over to Westeros if the opportunity came up for a cameo role on HBO’s “Game of Thrones.

“Oh, hells yeah. I would go and do anything,” the actor told Access Hollywood on Sunday in the HP TouchSmart Gift Lounge at the Nokia Theatre before the Emmys. “Just put me in blue paint and armor and yeah, a giant scar on my face. I would love it.”

Rainn, who plays Dwight Schrute on the NBC hit, admitted he’s a big fan of the HBO series, is already on the fifth book from author George R. R. Martin — “A Dance with Dragons.”

“I’m part way into it,” he said of his progress. “I’ve just started.”

While he admitted to having a “huge crush” on the character of Daenerys Targaryen, if the opportunity came up to head over to Belfast and sneak into a scene for Season 2, Rainn has some ideas on which family he could join.

“What are the ones in the Iron Islands — the ships?” he said, running through the house names in his head – Stark, Baratheon, Lannister, Targaryen…

“I’d be a Greyjoy — Rainn Greyjoy,” he said.

With several of Theon Greyjoy’s relatives apparently not cast yet, would he be up for playing an uncle of Ned Stark’s former ward?

“There’s my casting right there,” he smiled.

Meanwhile, “The Office” returns to NBC on Thursday, September 22 at 9/8 C, and despite the friction between Dwight and James Spader’s character, Robert California, in the season finale back in May, the actor said Dwight is ready to go this time around.

“Dwight can take on all comers, so I’m not so worried, Dwight will be able to hold his own,” he noted.
