The Situation Reveals His Workout Secrets

“Jersey Shore’s” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino says his trademark abs are only possible through a strict work out regimen, a “clean” diet, and a little pain.

“I eat clean — chicken, fish, steak, no sugar, no sauces, no Diet Coke,” the reality star, who returned to the small screen last night in the second season of his hit MTV show, recently told People. “I drink plenty of water. I believe in the old saying, ‘No pain, no gain.’”

The Situation is in the gym five days a week, reportedly doing 30 to 40 minutes of cardio, including the treadmill, elliptical training or the StairMaster. When it comes to his abs – he told the mag he works those every other day.

The 28-year-old said he doesn’t dread getting older.

“I have no fears about the future,” he said when asked about getting older. “I will stay physical because that is the key to success. When your body and mind are in sync, all else follows.”

The “Shore” star also noted that great bodies run in the Sorrentino family.

“I have always had an unbelievable six-pack,” he explained. “It’s genetic. I am gifted that way. My dad was a Golden Gloves boxer and my mom has a small waist.”

“Jersey Shore” Season 2 – where we’ll see the cast in Miami – airs Thursdays on MTV at 10 PM.
