‘The Voice’: Christina Aguilera Responds To Whitney Houston Hologram Controversy

Christina Aguilera has broken her silence on her canceled
Whitney Houston hologram duet, which was to air on
“The Voice” finale.

On Friday, the powerhouse singer released a statement to
Access Hollywood regarding the planned collaboration and expressed her regret
that it ultimately didn’t meet expectations.

“I was honored that the Houston family asked me to
perform a duet with the legendary Whitney Houston,'” she
said. “Sadly, the technology could not meet up to the talent that Whitney
possessed.”

However, Christina said the project has not been
abandoned and remains a work in progress.

“I do know in time the performance the fans and I have
been hoping for will come to life,” she added.
