After weeks of keeping his team intact, Coach Blake Shelton lost one of his artists to the elimination round on Tuesday night’s episode of “The Voice.”
In the final moments of the show, just The Swon Brothers and Holly Tucker were left on stage to hear their fate. Then, Carson Daly announced that it was college student Holly, who was going home.
Shortly before she learned the news, Blake said his team was made up of a group of hard working singers.

“We’ve managed to keep the group together a long time now… and eventually, I guess, obviously something’s gotta give at some point,” Blake said.
“But I want everybody at home to know that everybody on Team Blake… [has] worked their a**es off to be here. I mean, they’ve done everything they can do and left nothing out there,” he added.
Next Monday night, the remaining contestants — Team Shakira’s Sasha Allen, Team Usher’s Michelle Chamuel, Team Adam Levine’s Amber Carrington and Team Blake’s The Swon Brothers and Danielle Bradbery — will compete in the semi-finals.
“The Voice” kicks off on Monday at 8/7c on NBC.
