Who Turned: Adam, Gwen, Pharrell

Who He Picked: When Darius revealed he had an N*E*R*D* tattoo, the other coaches knew it was all over. Pharrell is his coach.

Song: “Cecelia and the Satellite” (Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness)
Who Turned: Gwen
Best Comment From A Coach: “I really liked your tone. I thought it was really unique and interesting and weird. And then I saw that you had so much more than just the tone. You had a lot of dynamics and a lot of range.” – Gwen
Who She Picked: Only Gwen turned so Korin automatically landed on Gwen’s team.

Contestant: Krista Hughes, 22, Coal City, West Virginia
Song: “Angel From Montgomery” (Bonnie Raitt, with John Prine)
Who Turned: Adam, Pharrell, Gwen and Blake – a four-chair turn!

Who She Picked: In the end, it was Blake driving home the point that song choice will be important for Krista – and he was the person who could help her best – that made her pick the country superstar.

Contestant: Chance Pena, 15, Tyler, Texas
Song: “I See Fire” (Ed Sheeran)
Who Turned: Adam
Best Comment From A Coach: “Adam sometimes gets really dumb in the battles, and I’ll just steal you. I’ll just steal you, OK?” – Gwen after realizing she should have turned her chair.

Best Comment From A Coach: “Your natural ability to sing in absolutely flawlessly perfect pitch – it’s astonishing. That’s a God given talent. I’m blown away, Cole.” – Adam
Who He Picked: Blake won the young man over after mentioning his former contestant, Xenia, from Cole’s hometown (who the coach is still in touch with), and Temecula’s balloon festival.

Contestant: Alex Kandel, 22, Nashville
Song: “Bright” (Echosmith)
Who Turned: Gwen, Adam
Best Comment From A Coach: Both Gwen and Adam noted her performance fell off a little bit, but they complimented her voice.

Contestant: Celeste Betton, 27, Hinesville, Ga.
Song: “Love You I Do” (from “Dreamgirls”)
Who Turned: Pharrell
Best Comment From A Coach: “I do have some soulful singers on my team already, and I almost didn’t push, but after a while I began to realize that you were singing because it really meant something to you and you just kept punching it and I couldn’t not hit my button. I had to reward all of that ambition on this stage. I’m happy to have you on my team.” – Pharrell
Who She Picked: Only Pharell turned, so she landed on his team

Contestants: Andi & Alex, 23, Green Bay, WI (they’re twins)
Song: “Thank You” (Dido)
Who Turned: Adam, Gwen, Blake and Pharrell – a four-chair turn!
Best Comment From A Coach: “There’s so much that’s incredible about what we just heard, whether you guys were in unison or in harmony, it was just so unbelievably thoughtful. You can hear each of you being compassionate to the other vocally. That’s kind of lightning in a bottle. … I am astonished at how good that was.” – Adam
