The Voice Season 3 Champ Crowned

“The Voice” has a new champion.

(SPOILER: This story contains the results of “The Voice” final on Tuesday!)

Cassadee Pope, from Team Blake, bested her teammate Terry McDermott, who came in second and Team CeeLo’s Nicholas David (who came in third) to take “The Voice” Season 3 crown.

Cassadee’s win gives Coach Blake Shelton his second win in the three-season competition. He won earlier this year with Jermaine Paul.

“I’m feeling amazing,” Cassadee said as Carson crowned the new “Voice.” “Thank you for everyone who voted for me. And all the fans and Blake, the producers, wardrobe, hair and makeup, Carson, the band, Christina [Milian] — everybody.”

Cassadee, the former singer for Hey Monday, was a frontrunner in the competition all season, with her covers of songs often ending up placing very well on the iTunes charts.

She reached a real standout moment the week of Thanksgiving when she touched fans with her version of the Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton song, “Over You,” which went to the top of the iTunes charts.

After Cassadee won on Tuesday night, she launched into her version of Faith Hill’s “Cry” as her coach, Blake, cheered from the sidelines.

Moments after the show left the air on the East Coast, fans in the audience saw a happy Christina Aguilera smile as she went up and hugged (and let out a “Woo!” for) the winner, Cassadee.

The two shared a playful moment as Cassadee continued her performance, while dusting glitter out of the superstar’s hair.

As she wrapped up the song, her loving family – Cassadee’s sister, mom and boyfriend — came on stage and hugged the new champ.

“Thank you so much,” she said as she finished the song, wiping a tear from her eye.

As things began to wrap up and everyone was ushered off stage, Cassadee could be seen embracing her coach Blake, who was beaming.
