‘The X Factor’ Final 3 Reveal What They’d Buy First With $5 Million Prize

With the “The X Factor” crown and its $5 million prize within their reach, the show’s final three contestants, Josh Krajcik, Chris Rene and Melanie Amaro, have already begun planning their first big purchases should they take home the hefty paycheck during tonight’s finale.

“I’m going to buy my Mom a house,” Melanie told Access Hollywood following the show’s finals in Hollywood on Wednesday. “A new house and a first class ticket to Hawaii.”

28-year-old Chris , a recovering drug addict, told Access he’d put the money to good use, with plans to develop a treatment center for addiction.

“Invest, save, invest, save. Get a car, get a place,” Chris said, when asked how he’d spend the cash. “Start working on making a rehab [facility].”

Ohio native Josh Krajcik said he has one priority if he wins – a new ride.

“I would say probably a new truck,” he told Access of his purchase plans. “My truck is junk. It’s dying. It might not even start when I get home!”

See which contestant will get to make their dreams a reality when “The X Factor” crowns a winner tonight at 8 PM ET/PT on FOX.
