Thomas Middleditch Cast As Rainn Wilson’s Brother On Office Spinoff

Meet another member of Dwight Schrute’s family: brother Jeb.

Thomas Middleditch, best known for his work on comedy website College Humor, has been cast as Jeb Schrute, brother of Rainn Wilson’s character in NBC’s “The Farm” (the upcoming “Office” spinoff), according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Jeb is described as a “happy-go-lucky guy,” who is running a Northern Calif. pot farm after having traveled several career paths in the past – including working as a worm farmer and a Bigfoot hunter, THR reported.

Middleditch recently appeared in “The Campaign” with Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Middleditch joins Majandra Delfino on the NBC pilot, who was recently cast as Dwight’s sister, Fannie.

The 31-year-old actress — best known for her roles on “Roswell,” ABC Family’s “State of Georgia” and “Quarterlife” — will play Fannie Schrute, Dwight’s pseudo-intellectual, left-leaning younger sister.

“The Farm” is being penned by former “The Office” showrunner Paul Lieberstein and will be introduced during an episode of the long-running NBC comedy during its final season.
