Thunderstorms Force Cancellation Of Black Eyed Peas Concert In NYC’s Central Park

A scheduled Black Eyed Peas benefit concert in Central Park has been canceled due to severe thunderstorms.

The concert, which was expected to draw up to 60,000 spectators to the park’s Great Lawn, was originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, but was delayed an hour and then canceled all together because of the weather.

The concert to benefit the Robin Hood Foundation was also to feature appearances by Natasha Bedingfield, LL Cool J, Carole King, MC Hammer, and Debbie Harry.

A spokeswoman for the concert did not know if organizers plan to reschedule the event.
