Tim Gunn’s New Project Runway Catchphrase: ‘This Worries Me’

The seventh season of “Project Runway” premiers tonight on Lifetime – and style guru and series mentor Tim Gunn is a little worried.

“There isn’t a single challenge without lots of ‘make it work’ moments,” Tim told People at the temporary naming of Project Runway Avenue in New York City’s Fashion District on Wednesday. “I’m afraid [‘this worries me’] is going to become a catchphrase because I say it so frequently.”

Tim says this season’s designers are known for their “sashay.”

“I’m calling it the season of the sashay because no matter how urgent our deadlines are, no matter how far behind we are, the designers just sort of waltz around our workroom as if we have all the time in the world,” Tim continued, “and we don’t.”

Judge Michael Kors told the mag that he is glad to be back in New York City for the new season.

“When you think about it, the walks from Parsons to Mood, you could have 500 inspirations within a minute,” Michael said. “The bar is raised. I think the energy level is full-tilt boogie. It’s New York. Nothing stops here.”

As is Tim, who added, “I’m thrilled… this is my home. I’m happy I can sleep in my own bed.”

The seventh season of “Project Runway” debuts tonight on Lifetime with guest judge Nicole Richie.
