Tina Fey & ‘30 Rock’ Stars Weigh In On Julianne Moore As Sarah Palin In HBO Film

Does Tina Fey think Julianne More will make a good Sarah Palin in the upcoming HBO film? You bectha!

Access Hollywood caught up with the cast of NBC’s “30 Rock” as they celebrated the 100th episode of their Emmy Award-winning comedy in New York City on Thursday, where they gave Julianne their stamp of approval.

“I’m imagining it will be a very different tone,” Tina, whose impression of the former Alaska Governor on “Saturday Night Live,” is regarded as comedy gold, told Access.

“She’s a great choice. She’s a great actress,” she continued. “If she needs my wig, I have it. It’s at ‘SNL.’”

Alec Baldwin, who co-starred with Julianne on “30 Rock” when she played his onscreen love from Boston, Nancy Donovan, isn’t so sure the Oscar-nominated actress will be able to compete with Tina’s version.

“I love Julianne, but that’s out of the question!” Alec said. “It will be a different Sarah Palin.”

Jane Krakowski told Access that she’s looking forward to the actress’ take on the political figure.

“I’m such a huge fan of Julianne Moore that I think she’ll do an amazing job, but its hard to follow Ms. Fey’s Palin,” she told Access. “It will be very interesting to see. I’m sure it will be its own original take on it.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Julianne will the play former Vice Presidential candidate in HBO’s film “Game Change,” which follows John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign from when he chose Palin as his running mate through their defeat in the general election by Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
