Tina Fey & Amy Poehler Respond To Taylor Swift’s ‘Special Place In Hell’ Comment

When asked to share her thoughts on Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s mocking of her love life at this year’s Golden Globe awards during a recent interview, Taylor Swift deferred to a quote told to her by Katie Couric – “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.”

So what do Amy and Tina have to say about the “Trouble” singer’s fiery remark?

“Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl,” Amy told The Hollywood Reporter.

“That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff,” she added.

As for Tina, the “Admission” star said Taylor should lighten up a bit as it was all in good fun.

“It was just a joke, and I think it was actually a very benign joke,” she told Us Weekly.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Tina and Amy threw numerous playful jabs at plenty of stars while hosting the Globes – including a joke about Taylor eyeing Michael J. Fox’s 23-year-old son (who was handing out trophies at the ceremony).

“I just feel like it was just a little joke, like two of your aunts — two of your old lady aunts — teasing you at the Thanksgiving table,” Tina told Access Hollywood of the joke, at the SAG Awards back in January. “That’s all it was.”
