Tina Fey: No To ‘Mean Girls’ Reunion, Yes To Hot Wings

Tina Fey and Lindsay Lohan recently saw each other while appearing on Jimmy Fallon’s first “Tonight Show,” but don’t expect a “Mean Girls” sequel, despite rumors to the contrary.

“Yeah, I saw her at the first episode of the ‘Tonight Show.’ We did that bit with Jimmy, and I said to her, ‘Oh, I think someone may call us about doing some kind of reunion because next month is the tenth anniversary of the movie.’ And so really… if everyone’s around we might try to do some kind of like panel discussion,” Tina told Access Hollywood at the junket for her new film, “Muppets Most Wanted.” “But it’s not like — it’s not another movie. At most it would be like a panel discussion with a plate of hot wings.

“No, it’s definitely not a movie,” Tina added. “It’s just the anniversary is coming up, so everybody get your pink shirts. It’s been 10 years. You can tell when you look at me. It’s been 10 years.”

It’s been a few years since Tina left “Saturday Night Live,” but she clearly stays tuned in to the NBC sketch comedy. Tina told Access she saw portions of Lena Dunham’s hosting gig over the weekend.

“I watched a little bit online [on Sunday]. I haven’t seen the whole show yet, but it looked like she did great,” Tina said.

And, when asked about pressures on Lena to be a role model, Tina had high praise for the writer/actress.

“I really do love the show ‘Girls’ and I feel like, as a writer… everything she’s doing is on purpose. She’s not just like living a crazy life being like, ‘Whatever. At least you’re talking about me.’ She’s living with purpose so I think she’s a good role model,” Tina said.

“Muppets Most Wanted” hits theaters on March 21.
