Tom Cruise Accepts Fifth Mission: Impossible Movie

Ethan Hunt is ready for another mission!

According to Entertainment Weekly and Deadline, Tom Cruise has signed on for a fifth installment of the “Mission: Impossible” movie franchise.

Tom’s last adventure, 2011’s “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol,” pulled in $700 million at the box office worldwide.

Deadline reported that writer-director Christopher McQuarrie, who worked with Tom on 2012’s “Jack Reacher,” is in the lead to direct.

Back in February (in a Tweet that has since been deleted), McQuarrie wrote that he was in the middle of “deciding to accept” the job.

Further casting, plot and production details have yet to be revealed.
